Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the Bear Of Burton's fantastic breakfast, featuring a wide choice of hot food. The rooms are considered a good size, quiet, and well-equipped with amenities such as a Marshall speaker and a mini bar with fresh milk. The pub area is often described as amazing and some have noted that top floor rooms might not suit everyone due to narrow stairs and low headroom, but overall it's considered a comfortable experience with delicious food, especially the chef's specials that offer restaurant-quality options.

pleasing aestheticridiculous wine price
the hotel had a pleasing aesthetic, giving a warm welcome. the room exceeded my expectations in size and furnishing.
The wine prices felt frankly ridiculous. £10.90 For a glass of house wine is excessive. it does not reflect good value, especially since similar wines are much cheaper at supermarkets. they need to address this or risk losing customers.

excellent stay

coffee machinegood selectionfresh milklarge food portions
I really appreciated the lovely room. It felt very luxurious. fresh milk was in the fridge and a coffee machine was in the room, alongside a good selection of tea. the bathroom was great with its excellent shower and well-lit mirror above the sink.
during my visit, the food portions seemed quite large. it was a considerable amount of food was going to waste. i think smaller portions could reduce waste and still satisfy guests.
